The ultimate test of Horsepower.
This event was held July 30, 2022 at the Clarke County Ruritan Fairgrounds. Teams consisted of Belgian draft horses with the exception of a bay Belgian/Percheron x who did exceptionally well up against his more purebred counterparts. These horses pulled a sleigh weighed down with 100 lb cement blocks, each round heavier than the last. The heaviest weight three qualifying teams ended up pulling by the evening was 8,500 lbs! An absolutely unique discipline to spectate, these draft horses were beyond impressive. ~
