I had the great pleasure of being called on for the project of photographing a client's dog, Buca, as a gift for her husband. This beautiful gal has quite the history; originally from Texas, she was rescued along with her mother both severely suffering from mange, both were sent to a fostering based rescue in Virginia. Buca was originally adopted by an older woman that my client, Julia, knew beforehand, but unfortunately the new owner succumbed to brain cancer and handed over Buca to Julia and her husband Daniel (who fell madly in love with Buca and imprinted on her training from a pup) when she found out her diagnosis, knowing she would be in wonderful hands. Buca is now 8 years old and thriving with her little brother, Donner. ~
